The Chronicle of Philanthropy highlights how charities across the United States are facing challenges that have led many to close their doors, or consider closing in the future. As a result, there has been a rise in organizations, including Civic Strength Partners, that can help charities explore options and solutions, including mergers. CSP supports civil society and international development charities dealing with a changing ecosystem, and it has heard from nearly 200 organizations that are struggling financially. CSP co-founder Cheri-Leigh Erasmus noted “Our main aim is getting people services as quickly as we can so that they can make these decisions from a place of power and in alignment with their organizational values and mission, versus it getting to a fire sale.”
